“One who sees cause-and-effect sees the Buddha.”
Buddha is aniconic. Icons of Buddha such as statues and pictures simply help us build up basic devotion necessary for higher spiritual progress. Actual seeing of Buddha is based on the understanding of cause-and-effect.
Please do not miss this session, since it will help you understand the interrelation between cause-and-effect (paticcasamuppāda) and enlightenment (Buddha).
This time we will have a special mindfulness session for those who attend the class. Here is the program schedule:
- 04.30 PM – 06.30 PM: Class
- 06.45 PM – 07.45 PM: Mindfulness meditation
Abhidharma is the Buddha’s teaching of the psychology of the interaction of conscious and subconscious elements of the mind, which brings repressed fears and conflicts into the conscious mind. Knowledge in Abhidharma helps us understand our own inner-self and its impact on our behavior.
