"One who sees cause-and-effect sees the Buddha." Buddha is aniconic. Icons of Buddha such as statues and pictures simply help us build up basic devotion necessary for higher spiritual progress. Actual seeing of Buddha is based on the understanding of cause-and-effect. Please do not miss this session, since it will help you understand the interrelation between cause-and-effect (paticcasamuppāda) and enlightenment (Buddha). Find out more »Monthly Sil Program & Dhamma Talk – December 2017
Monthly Sila program is an opportunity for Vihara members to practice spirituality for several hours a day at least once a month. It is held on the Saturday nearest to the full-moon day. Usually, Sila program starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Conducted both in English and Sinhala, the Sila program includes meditation sessions and Dhamma discussion.
